This course lasts for one year and is aimed at new Christians or those who have not undertaken formal religious or Bible studies previously. This course requires a minimum of 1 hour of study every week outside the lectures.

Courses are delivered online (using Zoom) and normally take place on Tuesday evenings between 7-9pm. The academic year is split over three terms (around 11 Tuesdays each).

Syllabus: The academic year for this course runs from February through to November. The three core modules are as follows:

Foundation in Christian Education: 4th February to 8th April

  • Understanding the Bible

  • How to Really Study the Bible

  • Introduction to Church History

  • Understanding Worship

  • Perspectives on Prayer

  • Building Christian Character

  • Christian Ethics

  • Victorious Living

  • The Authority of a Believer

  • Sharing our Faith


Foundation in Prophetic Ministry: 6th May to 15th July

  • Understanding Prophecy

  • An Old Testament Perspective

  • New Testament Dispensation

  • Spiritual Gifting

  • The Making of a Prophet

  • Qualities of a True Prophet

  • Battling in the Spiritual Realm

  • Tares Among the Wheat

  • Prophetic Evangelism

  • Blessings of the Prophetic Gift


Foundation in Christian Ministry: 16th September to 25th November

  • One Body in Christ (The Church)

  • The Fall of Man

  • Christ: His Life and His Works

  • Understanding Salvation

  • Living in the Spirit

  • Righteousness (Your new life in Christ)

  • Understanding Faith

  • Grace

  • Justification, Sanctification & Glorification

  • Leading Souls to Christ

Assessment: Assessment is via test papers completed each term, covering the materials taught during lectures. An overall pass mark of 70% is required to graduate, as well as an attendance record of at least 80%.

Entry Requirements: There are no formal entry requirements and the course is open to anyone who is 16 years and above regardless of your church or denomination. However, student must be committed and enjoy the word.

Cost: There is no charge for this course, although a nominal fee of £20 is required to cover all the course materials that will be made available to the students.
